Thelma Jean “TJ” McCormick, 84, of Marble Hill, Mo., died Dec. 30, 2020, at her home. Born on July 27, 1936, in Fornfelt, Mo., she was the daughter of Walter Raleigh and Mildred Gerlene Davis Morrill. On September 21, 1957, she married Harold B. McCormick in St. Louis, Mo. He survives.
TJ was a dedicated wife and mother. She maintained a pristine house and yard, along with tending her flowers.
She and Harold were parents of six children: David (Lori) McCormick and Gaylene (Eddie) Benfield, both of Glen Allen, Mo., and Mark McCormick, Brad McCormick, Cheryl (Dan) Schlief and Shannon McCormick, all of Marble Hill. Other survivors include a brother, Larry Morrill of Scott City, Mo., 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Cole Benfield, three brothers: Norman, Dale Wayne, and Carl, and a sister, Joann.
Visitation and funeral services will be on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo., at 1:00 p.m.
