Ola Jean Treweek was born on Sept. 25, 1924, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of George Everett and Effie Elizabeth Pruitt Nokes. She died March 31, 22021, at her home in Glen Allen, Mo., at the age of 96. She moved to Missouri over 30 years ago from Huntington Beach, California.
She married Richard Treweek in 1984. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2014.
Ola was a very active member of New Trace Creek Baptist Church. She had been a school volunteer and into her late 80;s delivered Meals On Wheels for Tri-City Nutrition Center in Marble Hill. She loved to travel, but always ended back in Missouri.
She is survived by three children: Juanita (Eddie) Marguez of Denver, Co, Debra (David) Henninger of San Clemente, Ca, and Ken Brown of Huntington Beach, Ca; a brother, Glen Nokes; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren with one on the way. She was an aunt and a dear friend to many.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Richard, son, Phillip Brown; a sister, and a brother.
Visitation and memorial services will be held at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Shoemaker will officiate.
Inurnment will be with her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
