Lisa Jovanovic, 92, of Glen Allen, Mo., died at her home on June 7, 2020.
Born on March 16, 1928, in Bad Oeyhausen, Germany, she emigrated to the United States in 1956.
She worked for the British Army during WW II, and met her husband, Milorad Jovanovic, Sr. during this time. She moved to Glen Allen from Sioux City, Iowa, in 2007 following the death of her husband.
She is survived by two daughters: Gisela Speth and Angie Harris, five sons: Hans-Jurgen Fiebig, Milorad "Mike" Jovanovic, Jr., Tom Jovanovic, Rudy Jovanovic, and Billy Jovanovic, a sister, Erika Fiebig, 13 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her husband, a daughter, Heidi Budde; a sister, Helga Kopowski; and a brother, Rudolf Fiebig, Jr.
Funeral and visitation will be at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, in Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation will from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on June 18. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on June 19. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City.
