Kenneth W. Griffon died Thursday, December 26, 2019, at the family home near Glen Allen, Mo.
He was born May 11, 1950, near Patton, Mo., the son of Walter Wilburn and Christine Wilburn Hahn. He married JoAnn Long on August 27, 1973, in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives.
Kenneth had worked as a truck driver. He had worked in law enforcement and had been the Chief of Police for Delta, Mo. He retired from Gilster MerryLee.
He was one of the few remaining charter members of the Madison County C.B. Radio Club, a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Swords of Bunker Hill. Kenny was an active member of the Plainview Methodist Church until ill health took its toll. He had served as song leader there and at several other area churches. A life-long hunter, music and singing were also important parts of his life.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents, sister, and brother-in-law, Arlene and Cliff Arthur, niece, Laura Arthur, and several siblings.
Visitation will be Monday, December 30, 2019, at the Plainview Church from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
