James Charles “ Bear” Bollinger, 61, of Marble Hill, Mo., died August 25, 2020, at his home.
Born in Advance, Mo., on February 27, 1959, he was the son of James Ray and Marjorie Dean James Bollinger.
Bear loved his two daughters, Dena (Alan) Estes of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Angie (Garan) Engelen of Leopold.
He is remembered for the bear hugs he gave them and his grandchildren, Chyna and Charles Estes and Samantha, James, Riley and Emma Engelen. His dog, Shea, was a faith companion. His hobby was collecting knives. He was a retired commercial truck driver and of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his daughters and grandchildren, and by his mother, Marjie Bollinger of Marble Hill.
His father and an infant sister, JoNell, preceded him in death.
Visitation and funeral services will be on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will begin at noon with Rev. Jerry Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery near Patton, Mo.
