Helen Elizabeth Beussink, 83, of Marble Hill, Mo., died February 4, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Born at Leopold, Mo., on August 25, 1936, she was the daughter of Fred and Helena Elfrink Thiele. She and Harold Bernard Beussink were married at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold on May 17, 1958.
Helen was a life-long member of St. John Church, participating in the parish council of Catholic women.
She was a dedicated homemaker and worked at the Bollinger County Library for over 20 years.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years; four daughters: Elaine (DeWayne) Stroder, Pam (Stan) Woodfin, Peggy (Francis) Nenninger, and Sarah (Dave) Johnson; a son, Stuart (Julie) Beussink; a sister, Betty Beussink; a brother, Stanley Thiele; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she is predeceased by two brothers: Edwin and Glen Thiele; and two sisters: Irene Stoverink and Hilda Beussink.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at St John Catholic Church in Leopold from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Parish prayers will start at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 7, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. Rev. David Coon will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
