Alita “Faye” Bollinger, 85, of Sedgewickville, Mo., died September 13, 2020, at her home. Born on August 7, 1935, near Patton, Mo., she was the daughter of Truman Elmo and Mattie Ethel Mungle Heitman. She married John Mark Bollinger of March 6, 1954, at Reagan’s Chapel near Patton. He survives.
She was a committed and dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother. A true helpmate for her husband, she oversaw their farming business. She grew and preserved a large garden and grew flowers for enjoyment. Following her children leaving home she enrolled in Liberty University to gain more bookkeeping knowledge and skills. However, her greatest joy was sharing time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Scopus United Methodist Church and the Blue Creek Quilters’ Club.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, J. Mark Bolllinger; by three sons: Mark Douglas (Beth) Bollinger of Jackson, Mo., and Jim (Novena) Bollinger and Jeff (Avis) Bollinger) both of Burfordville, Mo.; a daughter, Julie (Glen) Weible of Farmington, Mo; four sisters: Maxine Fulton, Lauretta Welker, Jackie Varner, and Sharran Seabaugh; 13 grandchildren and 13 great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Velda Pogue and Donna Yount.
Private graveside services will be held at Reagan’s Chapel Cemetery .
Anthony Stewart and Kathleen Moran will officiate. Hutchings Funeral Chapel are handling arrangements.
