Dorothy Marie Ledermann was born near Whitewater, Mo., on August 21, 1943, the daughter of Charles Fritz and Alberta Marie Schlimme. She died at her home in Marble Hill, Mo., on December 11, 2020, at the age of 77. On May 28, 1966, she married Paul Dean Ledermann. He preceded her in death October 8, 2015.
Dorothy and Paul were the parents of a daughter, Jacqueline (Roger) Briley. She was a homemaker and a faith-filled preacher’s wife; a big-hearted and loving person who would help anyone in need. Dorothy loved everyone and accepted others into the family. Favorites things were coffee, roses, birds, and playing rummy. She loved and spoiled her granddaughter, Carolyn (Austin) Barker and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides Jackie, Carolyn and the great-grandchildren she is survived by two sisters: Emma Talbart of Jackson, Mo., and Joice Ann James of Gordonville, Mo.; sisters-in-law: Lille Ledermann and Linda Robins; and brothers: Roy Lee Schlimme and Jim Schlimme.
Her parents, husband, and a sister-in-law, Brenda Rhodes, preceded her in death.
Visitation and funeral services will be on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Elijah Allen officiating. Burial will follow in McGuire Cemetery near Burfordville, Mo.
