Linda "Carolyn" Buckner, 71, of Marble Hill, Mo., died on Feb 2, 2020, at her home. Born on May 10, 1948, she was the daughter of
Lenwood and Gracie Lucille James Garland. She married Freddie Buckner on July 9, 1965, He preceded her in death.
She retired from the Missouri Division of Social Services as a case worker and had been a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Patton
volunteer fire department. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters: Sandy (Phillip) Brown and Angie (James) Thompson-Primer; a brother, Frank (Wanda) Garland, three sisters: Grace (Oda) Cook, Katherine (Ronnie) Cook, and Virginia (Harold) Bilek; five grandchildren: Casey Brown, Morgan Thompson, Heather Brown, Darrin Brown, and Sierra Thompson and eight great grandchildren: Keegan, Dexter, Nyla, Elvaunte Jr., Zaeven, Messiah, Karmen, and Freddie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Dave Garland.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m.at the funeral home with Revs. Otis Long and Sam Brotherton officiating. Burial will follow in Pulliam Cemetery near Patton.
