Anna Mae Irvin was born on Sept. 2, 1934, near Bessville, Mo., the daughter of Peter Ferdinand and Della Caroline Robins Rhodes. She died on August 12, 2020, at Woodland Hills in Marble Hill, Mo. She married Pearly Richard Irvin on April 24, 1954. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 2014.
Anna Mae worked in shoe factories and the local hat factory. She was a faithful member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Jack Irvin of Texas; a daughter, Kathy Irvin of Marble Hill; two brothers: Winfred and Charles Rhodes; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers: Paul, Clayton, Clinton, and Delmar Rhodes and an infant brother; two sisters: Juanita Brown and Ruby Fuller, and a grandchild.
Visitation and funeral services will be on Friday, August 14, 2020, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will follow at noon at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
