Charles Leonard Brown, 71, of Marble Hill, Mo., passed away Jan. 28, 2010, at the home of his nephew in Benton, Mo. He was born Nov. 10, 1938. in Poplar Bluff, Mo., the son of Leo and Leona Randall Brown. He served from Nov. 1961 to Nov. 1963 in the Army at Ft. Lewis, Wash. Later he retired from American Steel in Granite City, Ill.

He is survived by two brothers, Lloyd Brown of Arnold, Mo., and Glen Brown of Jackson, Mo. His parents, two brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death.

Visitation will be at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill on Sunday, Jan. 31, from 2 til 6 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m.at the funeral home with Rev. Ken Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery with military honors
