Gilbert Owen Moyers, 66, of Cascade, Mo., died Dec. 24, 2009, at his home. Born June 15, 1943, in Lutesville, Mo., he was the son of the late Tyson Randolph and Opal Thuston Moyers. For many years he made his home near Hiram, Mo., and retired from working as a sawyer for Parson Lumber Co.

He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Moyers, of Cascade and a son, Gilbert Dwayne Moyers of Texas; two sisters, Trilla May Cook and Vicky Kindall, both of Troy, Mo., and two brothers, R.C. Moyers of Piedmont, Mo. and Russell Moyers of Fredericktown, Mo. A son, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held Sat., Dec., 26, 2009, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sat. Burial will follow at Cowan Cemetery near Hiram.
