Gerald Wayne “Jack” Robins, 68, of Jackson, Mo., formerly of Marble Hill, Mo., died Oct 14, 2019, at
Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born on April 11, 1951, in Marble Hill he was the son of William Robert and Anna Loretta Zinn Robins.
He married Linda Lou Ledermann and she survives. He worked as a truck driver for Buchheit, Inc. until
he became disabled. Other trucking companies he drove for included Danny Gilder Trucking, and Trentham’s.
He lived in the Bessville community of Bollinger County until recently, when he moved to Jackson.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Roxana (David) Stone of Springfield, Mo., and Alicia (Shawn) Meadors of Cape Girardeau; two brothers: Lester Robins and Ivan Robins; and grandchildren: McKayla Robins, Jaime Robins, Tristan Robins, Reeawna Robins, Astonish Fann, and Elijah Meadors; and one great grandson, Easton Robins. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Scott Robins, four brothers: Monroe, Lawrence, Everett, and Dean Robins;
and five sisters: Viola Rhodes, Caroline Smith, Virginia Potter, Irene Siar, and Florence Burton.
Visitation and funeral services will be on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Revs. Bob Bowen and Joe Hogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Glen Allen Cemetery.
